Indrayani Mahavidyalaya, a premier institution of this region, has successfully completed Forty years of its sacred mission of disseminating higher education, Established in 1968 with efforts of Prin. Dr. M.M. Altekar, who was the first Principal & Founder Secretary of this college from 1968 to 1985. well-know Dignitaries like Acharya P. K. Atre, Wrangler Dr. G.S.Mahajani and Shri. Balasaheb Desai, Ex. Finance Minister of the State, Industrialist Mr. Vasantrao Vaidya, Educationist Mr. Mamasaheb Mohal & well –known MLA. G.P. Pradhan etc. blessed this institution.

   Since its inception, Indrayani Mahavidyalaya has not looked back while striving for the all sided educational upliftment of students achieving honours in Academic and Sport activities, At present the college provides higher education in the Arts, Commerce and Science Streams, with a Post-Graduate Centre for M.Com. & M.A. We also have Govt. recognized Courses in the Four Technical branches at plus two stage. Indrayani Vidya Mandir a parent institution has also provided for Computer Education (INDICOM) for the benefit of the students at concessional fees. It also began imparting lessons in Professional courses like, B.B.A, B.C.A & B.I.B. 

  The University of Pune has selected our college for soft skill program me, Under this scheme we will provide guidance for communication skill, Interview Technique and Counseling for MPSC / UPSC and other Competitive Exams.

The college has constructed separate Ladies common room, and also constituted the Vidyarthini manch . The Manch trys to solve the problems of girl students.

The poor but deserving students can take benefit of this scheme while prosecuting their studies. They can augment their income by assisting in the college office, library, gardening etc. This scheme is only for the Senior college students. The interesting students are advised to contact the professor-in-charge of the scheme for more details.

  This store provides Note books, stationary and Educational aids to the students at concessional rates. Students are supposed to accept the membership of the stores and take active part in the management of the same.

  The deserving students can get financial assistance by way of fee concessions from the college. The college received some endowment funds out of which prizes are given to the students showing excellence in academic and sports activities.

  The college arranges lectures of renowned personalities in various fields for the benefit of students. Visits to industrial units are arranged and all the students are advised to take active part in such programs. Educational workshop, seminars, elocution & cultural competitions are organized by the college. The deserving students get an opportunity to participate in competitions organized by other institutions.
